Familiarize yourself with these steps to continue essential operations during emergencies such as power outages, full wired/5G internet disruptions, or other unexpected events.
BETA keeps accurate track and reports all outages.
More on BETA’s SLA in our Terms & Conditions
Like any modern business, your business depends on a reliable internet connection not only as BETA is a cloud based software, but also to process transactions through your payment provider. Your first step should be to mitigate basic internet outages.
These concise, high-level precautions will help minimize downtime and keep transactions flowing:
Primary Connection
Use a dedicated, business-grade ISP circuit separate from guest Wi-Fi.
Automatic Failover
Deploy a dual-WAN router alongside a 4G/5G hotspot so your network switches instantly to backup if the primary link fails.
Additionally, consider having a 4/5G mobile device capable of creating a Wi-Fi hotspot as a fallback option for processing payments and accessing BETA during potential internet outages. BETA’s low data usage makes this an effective solution, but the best setup depends on your specific needs.
Power Continuity
Protect your modem, router, and switches with a UPS and consider a commercial-grade battery system for prolonged power loss.
Transaction Safeguards
Enable offline caching on your card terminals and pre-load essential member data onto tablets to queue sales locally during outages.
Monitoring & Drills
Implement automated link-down alerts, run quarterly failover tests, and keep a concise runbook detailing router resets, hotspot activation, and ISP escalation steps.

How do I email a form to a profile?
🔗Forms on Visitor's Profile
This help article covers how to add, view, validate or reject forms on a profile.
It's the gym’s responsibility to:
Maintain a physical copy or alternative digital form (e.g. Google Form).
Ensure the form content meets your gym’s requirements.
Provide the completed form status to BETA
This will be imported as a form “status” i.e., you will be able to see that the climber has signed a form
You can still register a climber by collecting the required details manually, and storing the completed form externally.
Once systems are back online, you can submit the necessary info to the BETA team for records to be created.
No, form downloading an empty form is not an option in BETA. Instead, we suggest creating a paper or a digital version of your BETA form that you keep organized externally (physical files, Google Form, etc.).
Forms must be stored securely outside of BETA, such as on paper or another approved system your gym uses.
You are responsible for the integrity and accuracy of these records.
External forms cannot be directly imported into BETA.
Instead, once you’ve collected and verified the form externally, you can manually input the climbers’ details (e.g. First Name, Last Name, DOB, Email, Form Type, and ID) to the BETA support team or through your support channel. We will then import this as a form status under the specified climber's profile.
BETA recommends that these participants still sign a form in BETA once the outage is over.
