See Pricing HereYou can easily create competitions in BETA with customizable rounds, scoring systems, and categories.
Once your competition is created, follow these steps:
Add participants to your competition
Add climbs to your competition
Category: A group of participants competing together based on shared characteristics (age, gender, skill level).
Round: A set of climbs with a defined start and end time. Climbers can only log climbs within that time.
Morning Round: 08:00–10:00
Evening Round: 17:00–19:00The Under 18 Female Category might include both the Morning and Evening rounds.
BETA supports several scoring systems tailored to different competition formats:
Each boulder is worth 1000 points, divided by senders.
Based on tops, attempts to top, zones, and attempts to zone.
TOP IN | 1 attempt | 2 attempts | 3 attempts | 4+ attempts |
Points | 10 | 7 | 4 | 3 |
This is the UK, plus 1 point for getting the zone hold (in case of no send)
In the 10 Points system, a climb is worth 10 points. With each subsequent attempt, the value of the climb decreases by 1 point. So, if you send it on the third try, you'll earn 8 points.
Additionally, if you send a climb on lead (which is a more advanced technique), you get an extra point added to your score.
Multiple people can have their scores combined for placement in the leaderboard. teams can be managed by navigating to the Competitions tab, from the Climbs page of your BETA dashboard. Learn how to add teams to your comp here.
TEAM SCORING WILL ONLY WORK WITH TEAMS.
Each climb is worth 50 points. The total score is multiplied by the number of times a climb is completed. For example, sending a climb twice earns 100 points, and sending it 10 times earns 500 points. Unsuccessful attempts are not penalized, and have no effect on scoring.
You can modify the deadline for entering scores for each round individually:
Go to the Climbs page and open the Competitions tab.
Click on the competition, then select the round and click Edit.
Adjust the time window for score entry as needed.
