Enable/Disable Static Codes: Apple/Google wallet entry & External ID entry
Learn how to enable or disable Apple and Google Wallet passes for quick gym check-ins. Manage access for visitors easily in the Settings section.
In the BETA app, climbers can generate an Apple or Google Wallet pass for quick check-in at your climbing gym - you may choose to enable or disable this for your facility.
Wallet passes are geo-linked to your gym’s latitude and longitude, so when a climber arrives at your facility they will be prompted with their pass.
Attention: if you disable this feature after visitors have already generated QR codes in the Apple/Google Wallet - they will still be able to access the facility with that QR code until their pass expires.
In the BETA app, the QR code auto-expires within 5 minutes, meaning that visitors are unable to check-in with a QR code generated more than 5 minutes old.
BUT…
In Apple/Google wallet - the QR code is static meaning that once generate, this QR code will only expire once the relevant pass expires. BETA is not in control of this, and this cannot be altered through Google/Apple Wallet.
