External Visitors IDs/tags: Migration

This help article will assist you in migrating any pre-existing visitors’ external IDs/tags to BETA!

NOTE, If you have been using External IDs, migrating this is optional. Skip this step if you choose not to migrate any External IDs into BETA.

⤷ What are visitors’ external IDs / physical key cards/ external tags?

A physical tag is a scannable ID (e.g. barcode, QR code, or NFC chip) that can be assigned to a visitor's profile for use at check-in or for identification purposes. They are often referred to as Membership Cards, keychain tag.

⤷ Migrating these to BETA

» BETA requires a .csv export of all External IDs

The export must contain the following information for for each member:

• Visitor information to link each ID

  • Name, DOB, email address or a customer ID from your previous software

• External IDs

  • Should be between 4 and 36 characters — outliers will not be migrated

Once migrated, these tags are tied directly to the visitor’s profile in BETA, not to a specific pass or entry product.
