Applying a Transaction Surcharge Fee at the POS

When processing a payment at the POS, staff can choose to apply a transaction surcharge fee to the transaction. This is a manual step — the surcharge will not be added unless selected.

Note The transaction surcharge fee is configured by an admin in Settings » Subscriptions. If the option is not appearing, check that the surcharge product has been set up correctly.

⤷ Applying the Transaction Surcharge at POS

1. Add the relevant items to the transaction as normal.

2. Before completing payment, in the payments window, you will see the option to apply a transaction surcharge fee.

3. Click to toggle the surcharge on if it applies to this transaction.

4. Complete the payment as usual.

The surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the transaction total and will be shown as a line item before the payment is confirmed.
