The Next Billing Date is the date the transaction is submitted to the payment provider for processing.
In BETA, the billing date:
Is visible on each individual subscription
Can also be viewed in bulk on the Subscriptions page
The Update the Next Billing Date action allows you to adjust a subscription’s billing anchor date.
This changes when the next billing cycle begins.
Important:
It does not change the length of the billing period. The billing cycle length is inherited from the Pass Price.
It controls when the client will be billed next.
Adjusting it effectively decreases/extends the validity of the pass.
To adjust the billing date:
On the Profile, or Subscriptions page - open up the Subscription Popup
Navigate to the Subscription Overview tab.
Select Update Billing Date.
Select a specific next billing date
The billing date can be set in the future or in the past, depending on your needs.
For prorated subscriptions, billing adjustments may be limited to certain increments based on the pass configuration.
Example:
A one-month prorated pass can only be extended by day increments within that month.
A one-year subscription can only be extended in one-month increments.
The increment options depend on how the Pass Price was configured.
If a billing date is missed, BETA will hold the next billing date in place until it is processed.
This ensures billing continuity and prevents gaps in the subscription cycle.
For detailed instructions on handling retroactive billing, please refer to the dedicated Retroactive Billing guide.
